The 41-year-old footballer also revealed that he is already on his way to Egypt for the ties.

“Through his grace, I have received a special invitation from CAF to attend the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup quarter-final draw tomorrow, April 5, 2023, in Cairo, Egypt. Already in the Business lounge. Thank God.”

Ezeji was a member of the Enyimba team that won the 2003 CAF Champions League, the first Nigerian club to achieve the feat.

He made three appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring two goals.

Some of the clubs he has played for during his career include Eagle Cement, Sharks, Dolphins, Sunshine Stars, Heartland and Club Africain Tunisia.

Rivers United are the only Nigerian team still in CAF competition.

They will know their quarter-final opponent when the draw for the Confederations Cup is decided.
