Description
Brie and Onion Puffs are delightful bites of puff pastry filled with creamy brie and sweet onion relish, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Flour (helps prevent sticking when rolling out the puff pastry)
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (the star of the show)
- 1 jar Onion Relish (adds sweet and savory punch)
- 8 oz Brie (ensures a melt-in-your-mouth experience)
- 1 large Egg (for brushing the pastries)
Instructions
- Thaw the puff pastry by placing it on the kitchen counter for about 30 minutes until soft. Sprinkle some flour onto a clean, flat surface and roll out the pastry gently.
- Cut little circles from the rolled-out pastry using a round cookie cutter or glass. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Chop the brie cheese into small pieces and set it aside.
- Spread approximately 1 teaspoon of onion relish onto each circle of puff pastry.
- Top each filled circle with some of the chopped brie cheese.
- Cover with another layer of puff pastry circles, then use a fork to crimp the edges together.
- Arrange the assembled puffs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops gently with a beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm for best flavor.
- These can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
