MILWAUKEE — Brewers shortstop Willie Adams left Friday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants after being hit by teammate Brian Anderson’s foul ball as he watched from the dugout.

Anderson was batting in the bottom of the second inning when he struck out Adames.
The game was stopped for a few minutes so Milwaukee’s coaching staff could check on Adames as he sat on the bench. Anderson looked worried as he waited by the batter’s box.
Adames eventually left the dugout and headed toward the clubhouse. The Brewers said he was taken for a scan and left the ballpark to receive additional tests and evaluation.
Brice Turang replaced Adames at third.
