Description

A warm and festive appetizer featuring a sweetened cream cheese base topped with a tart homemade cranberry rosemary sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream (Full fat)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (For base)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (Freshly grated)
  • 1.5 cups fresh cranberries (Or frozen)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (For sauce)
  • 1/4 cup water (Or orange juice)
  • 1 sprig rosemary (Fresh)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (For flavor)

Instructions

  1. Simmer cranberries, sugar, water, and rosemary in a saucepan until berries burst and thicken.
  2. Beat cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Spread cheese mixture into a 9-inch baking dish.
  4. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the cheese layer.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until bubbly. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
