Irresistible Bacon, Brie, and Apricot Grilled Cheese Delight

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices Bacon (can opt for turkey bacon for a lighter alternative)
  • 4 ounces Brie Cheese (camembert can be used as a substitution)
  • 2 tablespoons Apricot Jam (or peach/fig preserves for a twist)
  • 4 slices Bread (Sourdough or White) (or gluten-free bread as a substitute)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (or olive oil as a dairy-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Reduction (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Spread apricot jam on one slice of bread. Layer with crispy bacon and brie cheese. Top with another slice of bread.
  3. Spread butter on the outside of both slices of bread.
  4. Grill in the skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden brown and cheese begins to melt.
  5. Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. Drizzle balsamic reduction over the sandwich before serving.
  7. Slice in half and serve immediately.
