Announcement: Experience Oz joins the Big Red Group

Unity is a powerful thing, especially in business. Partnerships, alliances and acquisitions can create significantly greater value, enable new opportunities and bring much stronger offerings to market for all stakeholders. When each partner brings to the table a specific set of skills and experiences that complement the other, it creates a dynamic union.

Such is the case with Big Red Group, which is acquiring Experience Oz and Experience Oz’s local agent from holding company TicketMates Australia.

In keeping with Big Red Group’s ethos of supporting local, the new additions are Australian owned and operated, making them a logical addition to its experience brands which include Adrenaline, Lime&Tonic., and RedBalloon.

All brands under TicketMates Australia will be transferred to the Big Red Group portfolio of brands, with the exception of motor club business Club Connect, a member benefits platform serving Australia’s wide range of motor clubs such as RACQ, RACV and NRMA.

While Club Connect will continue to directly acquire its existing products, Big Red Group has negotiated a long-term wholesale agreement that enables Big Red Group experience providers to gradually introduce the portal, giving them exclusive access to the club’s 11 million members. :

Queensland-based Experience Oz is an industry leader in serving local holidaymakers, while its B2B platform Local Agent is Australia’s leading one-stop shop for concierge activity bookings. The local agent currently serves 700+ hotels, including Mantra and Oaks hotels, providing access to 3000+ experiences across Australia.

These new acquisitions provide Big Red Group with a very complete marketplace while giving its suppliers unparalleled access to direct and indirect audiences with B2C, B2B and exclusive partner offerings.

When David Anderson and I co-founded Big Red Group over 4 years ago, we had a vision to build a multi-brand marketplace where each brand spoke to a distinct audience and where people learned the value of buying experiences over substance. product

David Anderson sums it up very succinctly, seeing this merger as a win-win for all parties. “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Experience Oz and Local Agent to our portfolio of experiential brands. This is a natural evolution that has been in place for over a year, and we are extremely excited about the mutual benefits ahead in driving efficiencies and expanding product offerings.”

As has been the underlying mantra throughout the pandemic, we are stronger together. Whether it is in the community or in business, it is very applicable to our times.

I look forward to bringing you more news on this in the near future as opportunities materialize.
