Arsenal have offered a contract for the electric winger, who will disrupt the plans of West Ham and Aston Villa

Arsenal have tabled a long-term bid for the winger, who is being courted by several Premier League clubs, including West Ham and Aston Villa, a reliable source.

The Gunners ultimately fell short in their bid to become Premier League champions for the first time since 2004. However, it cannot be argued that Mil Arteta’s side have made significant progress this season.

Arsenal also boast the second youngest starting line-up in the Premier League this year on average. Only bottom side Southampton have fielded a younger starting line-up during the campaign.

Clearly, the future is bright and Arsenal are determined to double down on their progress in a blockbuster transfer window.

The likes of Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are in demand and will cost huge sums. Otherwise, the search is on for a new center to replace the disappointing Rob Holding.

However, today’s updates are all about Arsenal protecting their squads, with defender Reiss Nelson signing a new contract on the pitch.

Nelson will become a free agent on June 30 if Arsenal do not agree a new deal for the 23-year-old within the next five weeks.

In that scenario, the Daily Mail previously reported that most Premier League clubs, including West Ham, Aston Villa, Fulham and Brighton, would be happy to play.

Nelson is also believed to be attracting interest from further afield, notably Italy and France. However, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have gone above and beyond to keep Nelson.

The reliable report tweeted that Arsenal’s new offer is for fifty-four years and will also include a fifth option.

It’s clear that Arsenal have faith in the winger, having missed a game this season and the fact that he was loaned out to Feyenoord last season.

Romano stated that the decision is now “up to the player”, although Arsenal have certainly tried hard to keep Nelson.

The academy graduate mustered just 560 minutes of action this term and it appears the season has been blighted by injury.

However, Haas scored three times and provided two assists in the process, including a memorable last-minute winner against Bournemouth on 4 March.

Nelson clearly has all the tools to be a real threat for the Gunners, injury and the presence of Bulayo Salah have limited opportunities so far.

But with a first return to the Champions League on the horizon since 2017, Milel Arteta needs reliable strength in depth.

Nelson certainly ticks that box and Arsenal have been very generous with their contract offer, at least over the long term.
