Ange Postecoglou ‘strongly considered’ by Tottenham after Arne Slot decision

Ange Postecoglou could move to the Premier League sooner rather than later as the Australian is “strongly considered” for the Tottenham job.

According to The Independent , Postecoglou has emerged as one of the frontrunners for the Spurs job after Dutch coach Arne Slott, who was previously linked with the opening, opted to stay at his current club Feyenoord.

Postecoglou is reportedly being discussed alongside Sporting Lisbon head coach Ruben Amorim.

The 57-year-old’s stock has risen rapidly in Europe over the past few seasons following his success with Scottish side Celtic.

Postecoglou completed the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup double this season, the second time he has done so since 2021.

Current Spurs manager Ryan Mason is the club’s third separate manager this season following the sackings of Antonio Conte and Christian Stellini.

The Tottenham link comes after Postecoglou has also been linked with the Chelsea vacancy.

However, with Chelsea expected to sign former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino instead, Postecoglou could soon take over for the Argentine.
