A quick and easy recipe for Air Fryer Teriyaki Chicken. Juicy chicken coated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, ready in 20 minutes.

- 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 to 3 teaspoons light brown sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 to 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (diced into 1-inch pieces)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil for coating air fryer basket
- Green onions (thinly sliced, optional for garnishing)
- Toasted sesame seeds (optional for garnishing)
Instructions
- Add teriyaki sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper to a bowl and stir to create a marinade.
- Add diced chicken to the marinade, stir to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 6-8 hours.
- Drizzle 1 teaspoon olive oil over the air fryer basket or spray with cooking spray.
- Preheat air fryer to 385F if required.
- Add chicken to the air fryer in an even layer, discarding excess marinade.
- Air fry for 10 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway, until the chicken reaches 165F.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the cooking time based on the size of chicken pieces and air fryer model.
- Serve with rice for a complete meal.
- You can make your own teriyaki sauce if desired.
