Are you trying to lose weight and struggling? There are many possible reasons for failure to lose weight.
Today in this post I will list the 5 most common reasons for weight loss failures. In this post I will also share my weight loss experience.
So here is the list…
The 5 Most Common Reasons for Weight Loss Failures
1. Overconsumption of calories
This is the most common reason why people have trouble losing weight. People just don’t understand the importance of a calorie deficit for weight loss.
They consume more calories and burn less. Also, people don’t count the extra calories they eat between meals. Some people add some side dishes to their main meal.
They just count the calories of the main meal but forget to count the calories they consume with the side dishes.

Another reason people consume more is because they eat more calories and count less. Sometimes this can happen due to lack of knowledge about food and calories.
So, to keep your calories on top, you need to know how to portion size your meals.
2. Less or no exercise
For weight loss, it is very important for you to burn the calories you consume. If you are not in a caloric deficit, you will not lose weight.
There are two options for this: either you eat less or you burn more calories through exercise.
If you want to burn more calories, you need to exercise regularly. Exercising is not only good for weight loss, but also good for overall health.

Some people just focus on dieting and do little or no exercise. This can lead to slow weight loss or even no weight loss at all.
Try to maintain a balance between diet and exercise if you want to lose weight successfully. When you exercise, you are also inspired to follow your diet properly. This helps speed up your weight loss.
In my personal experience, I found that if I exercised regularly, I could maintain my diet properly. My way of thinking about eating has changed.
Every time I would consume calories, my inner voice would stop me from doing so. If I eat more, I must sweat more. So, it is better to eat a balanced diet and exercise in a balanced way.
3. Not properly motivated
If you are not properly motivated, it will be very difficult to lose weight. Motivation is like the fuel that powers your weight loss journey. Motivation will help you when you need it during your weight loss journey.

Otherwise, in the absence of motivation, your energy will go in the wrong direction towards procrastination and overthinking.
So if you want to lose weight, keep your energy up and stay motivated.
4. Not controlling your emotions
Emotional eating is very dangerous to your weight loss success. It will add resistance to your fitness journey. There are many situations and cases when people consume more calories with emotions.
Some of the most common reasons for overconsumption are frequent parties, emotional eating during vacations and trips, in the name of festivals, etc.

I’m not saying you should stop enjoying and celebrating just because you’re on a weight loss journey. This is not a weight loss journey, but a journey to build a healthy lifestyle and eating mindset.
There are many healthy alternatives that you can enjoy at parties and celebrations. Also, parties and conversations are fine as long as you are able to burn off the extra calories you consume.
Make sure you enjoy it, but don’t make it a habit. Remember that balance in life is important, including balance in diet and emotional eating.
5. Not being able to control your hunger
If you don’t know how to smartly fight hunger while losing weight, you’ll struggle to lose weight even more.
Weight loss doesn’t mean being hungry all the time. Weight loss is associated with diet and exercise management.
The biggest mistake people make is when they eat less and starve. And when they start feeling hungry, they’ll eat junk in between meal times.
Another common reason is late night snacking. People sleep late, and when they’re starving, they start snacking late at night.
So sleep on time when you want to lose weight on time.
