One of the biggest challenges people face when trying to lose weight is finding time to exercise/grocery/make a healthy dinner, etc.
There are no ifs, ands, or buts… You’re Busy! But being busy is NOT an excuse for not having time to lose weight.
We all have the same 24 hours a day to spend our time.
Check out my top 4 tips to help you spend more time on your health to make losing weight easier.
1. Give up black-white thinking. Stop focusing on perfecting your diet and workouts. Since you’re busy, pick ONE small healthy action you can do today and make it a priority.
2. Be honest with yourself and your priorities/goals. As I mentioned earlier, we all have the same 24 hours in a day and you choose how you spend your time. Your job doesn’t choose that. Your family doesn’t choose it. YOU do. What are the most important goals for you? If it’s weight loss, then you need to spend time on the activities that lead to that goal. Prioritize what is most important to you.
3. Timely plan the actions that lead to weight loss. Yes, I mean actually take your calendar and block off time where you can exercise, meal plan, grocery shop, etc. You would never miss a meeting with someone else at work, so why would you miss a meeting with yourself for your goals? ?
4. Pay attention to how much time you spend on “time wasters.” How much time do you *really* spend scrolling through Instagram or Facebook each day? Even if it’s just 2 minutes every hour for 12 hours, that’s an extra 24 minutes you could have spent exercising or cooking a healthy dinner, etc. Most people don’t realize how much time you waste mindlessly scrolling through social media or doing other less important tasks.
